The Spin Room

Thursday, 07.26.07

Here is a real treat, it is John granting an informal interview to this guy in the post-debate spin room. He was lucky enough to catch John for a few minutes and get his opinion on how the debate fared.

Wow, now I don’t know about you guys, but seeing a video of John talking in a relaxed manner and not speaking formally in front of the CNN camera is… is… oh, the right words escape me at the moment. You’ll just have to see it for yourself. Check it out!

(Thanks Katnap for finding this gem!)

  1. It’s nice to see John speaking in a more causal setting. Great interview.

  2. Glad you liked it. I’m about to upload my Anderson Cooper interview from the Google after-party, but I really enjoyed talking to John King more. At first I was apprehensive b/c he seemed like he was going to be curt — “Well just for a minute ’cause I gotta go on soon” — but then he talked to me a lot longer than I expected and was quite engaging. Maybe the fact that I was streaming him live to the net from a webcam on my shoulder kept him in place. 🙂

John does this so rarely (or at least it is rare to come across John King material like this on the internet). I’m glad shelbinator posted this on YouTube for all of us to enjoy!

  4. Ooohh Shelbinator, you interviewed Anderson too?!?!? I can’t wait to see that. I met him at the Atlanta bok signing and he was just so nice and genuine. I can’t say enough good things about Anderson.

  5. Me again. As I said on the webcam clip post, this version of the YouTube video will be vaporizing soon. Please grab the new embed code from

    Sorry for the trouble.
