Buzz At The CNN Political Ticker Blog

Thursday, 11.08.07

John blogged yesterday at the CNN political ticker about Pat Robertson’s recent endorsement of Rudy Giuliani. There is plenty of buzz about this issue, as dozens of comments were posted within hours. This morning, there are over 250 responses!

Pat Robertson is about as far right as you can go, and as it is widely-known, Giuliani is much more moderate. So it definately seems to have been an unlikely endorsement.

Sifting through some of the blog comments, you come across the usual yada yada yada of left-wingers and right-wingers going at each other, but there was one funny observation by someone in NY which I thought was rather amusing: “Look at the face on him – he looks like a crazed chipmunk about to bite someone.” But who was he referring to? Robertson or Giuliani? They both look a little over-excited in that photo! Too funny of an observation – but surprisingly, not entirely off base, lol.

John blogged that “Robertson has repeatedly praised Giuliani despite their major differences on social policy, such as abortion and gay marriage. Both men say a friendship developed after a long conversation on a plane during a trip to Israel several years ago. Another thing both men have in common is that they are prostate cancer survivors.”

Here he is reporting last night from South Carolina.

His video report about the Rudy Giuliani/Pat Roberstson story can be viewed here.

The more I look at the picture, the more I think the person in NY was referring to Giuliani as the chipmunk! He does have a kind of strange look in his eyes!

“Crazed chipmunk” is about one of the funniest things I’ve heard in a long time. I think if you get bitten by Rudy Giuliani you would most definitely need a rabies and/or tetanus shot.
BTW, I just noticed the pics along the side there. Nice touch.

Thanks, I think those extra pictures on the side are a nice touch, too. Slowly but surely I am learning how to tweak and customize things the way I want them to look.

Check out the “crazed chipmunk” cartoon I just added! See any resemblance?? lol!

OMG, he DOES look like a crazed chipmunk! If I wasn’t afraid for our country’s future, I am now. Would he appoint demented squirrels to the cabinet? Sell our nuclear secrets for a few nuts? Be afraid, be very afraid.

“Would he appoint demented squirrels to the cabinet? Sell our nuclear secrets for a few nuts?” TOO FUNNY! 😆

Yeah, don’t even get me started on Pat Robertson. Why would anyone want his endorsement anyway is beyond me.

I just noticed that if you are viewing the comments with IE browswer, you don’t see the avatars. But if you are viewing with firefox, you do. Hum…Weird.

I have absolutely no idea what you just said, Millie, but ok.

Translation: If you are browisng the internet with Internet Explorer, you cannot see each commenter’s avatar picture, but if you are browsing the internet with Mozilla Firefox, the avatars show up. There are also some other differences, ie font colors and sizes are different between each browser as well. Go figure!

This is why you are the blog master and I am not.
